Mt. Mangart Poster
Mt. Mangart Poster
from $35.00
There have been hundreds of thousands of steps over the last 6.5 years in researching, developing, writing and finally editing this educational documentary about the famed 10th Mountain Division. And each step came with its own special reward. This film poster represents what I envisioned it to be when I thought “it needs to have a classic 1940's Hollywood illustration.” I put this out into the world and a wonderful artist by the name of Scorpio Steele understood what I was looking for and designed it. May I present to you, what I feel will be a collectible; the poster for my film produced under the Chris Anthony Youth Project "Mission Mt. Mangart".
The poster represents the story as a whole, but laid in it are a couple of key characters from the film. The battle scenes have been left out but are very much a part of the film. The men & women of the 10th were a unique group. Three of the key players are represented with head shots, center poster. First is Deborah Bankart, above her is Minnie Dole, the father of the 10th and then General George P Hays, the commander of the 10th. To the right of them a classic image of the 10th Soldier in whites and army issued skis plus rifle. Mt Mangart is represented in the background. Look closely and you will see the tracks where the famed race was held. Jumping off the cliff with a rifle on his back is Pete Seibert. Below him two men on repel during training. Then selfishly I have a ski image of me in their gear on modern equipment. Next skier below is WW2 10th Veteran Lieutenant James Anderson. Please take note of the credits as well as all of the detail of this unique work of art. - Chris Anthony
